Registration Details for the Spring 2011 season.
ON-LINE REGISTRATION is AVAILABLE NOW
1. When registering your child, please volunteer to help us as a manager, coach, team parent, or other capacity – it’s right on the registration form. Also, follow the link on the left of the home page or go to the "docs" tab to print a copy of the volunteer form/CORI background check. Please complete the form, and mail it to the league along at P.O. Box 416, North Andover, MA 01845 with a photocopy of your driver's license or other government-issued ID. A new volunteer form is required every year for every sport, so please do this now and get it out of the way. Click on the "volunteer form" link on the left of this page to see and print the form.

Even players new to our program can register on-line, just be sure to mail in a copy of your child’s birth certificate and a copy of a utility bill or other proof of residence to P.O. Box 416, North Andover, MA 01845.
3. Questions? Please contact the registrar at the following email address: nabcllregistrar@yahoo.com, or email/call the appropriate age division VP. Their contact information is found by clicking on the “Personnel” tab above.
Attention parents of players age 12: please note that all 12 year olds may, at their option, play in the Juniors Division on the big (90 foot) diamond. Alternatively, they may elect to remain on the small diamond, where they will be in the Majors division on the small (60 foot) diamond, unless the league recommends and their parents approve that they be placed in AAA. This placement must also be approved by the local District Administrator. Note that National Little League rules stipulate that ALL 12 year olds that elect to remain in Little League (small diamond) are placed in the Majors division. See the FAQ page for more details on 12 year olds playing in the Juniors division, and the link on the left to read the Little League rules regarding placement in Majors or Minors (AAA). Generally speaking, NABCLL recommends 12 year olds in 7th Grade consider playing in Juniors with their classmates, and 12 year olds in 6th Grade consider remaining in Little League (Majors or AAA).
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
1. I can't make my scheduled time, what do I do?
Little Diamond (8-12): If you can't make the designated time for your last name, it's OK to come at one of the other times for your age group. We do ask people to try and stick to their assigned times if possible just to try and even out the number of players to be evaluated in each session so that we can do a proper evaluation, and not have to short-cut the time allocated. If you can't make your Saturday time but can come Sunday, or vice-versa, although it's not ideal, that's OK as well, just be sure to let the evaluators and the check-in people know that you are evaluating with the other age group in case it isn't obvious. The one thing we ask that you DON"T do is cross from Little Diamond evals into Big Diamond, or vice-versa.
Big Diamond (12-18): If you can't make the designated time for your age division, you may attend during the other age division evaluations. Just be sure to tell the person checking you in, and remind the evaluators, that you are in a different age group than the group he's doing, so he can adjust his ratings accordingly.
2. I can't make it this weekend at all. What do I do?
If you absolutely cannot make it, even at a time other than your assigned time, please register anyway and we will place him or her as best we can. However if at all possible, try and get your child there this weekend. Please also contact your age division VP and make him aware of the situation, their numbers and emails are found on the "personnel" tab.
3. I cannot seem to get online registration to work. Is there any way to register on site?
Yes, BUT THIS IS HIGHLY DISCOURAGED. It creates long lines at check-in and slows the whole evaluation process down. Please do your best to register in advance, even the night before your eval day. The printouts will be done the morning of each evaluation, so it is not too late. You can also use the mail in form found to the left of this page. However, this makes a lot of extra work for us so if you choose the mailin option please do so only if you really can't make online work and then please do it in advance.
4. I want to pay by check, and the online reg. doesn't allow it.
Now it does -- select the category "Pay by Check". You still have to enter credit card information for verification purposes, but your credit card will NOT be charged (you'll see a $0 checkout amount). Then go ahead and mail in your check to the league at P.O. Box 416 in North Andover. Just be sure to enter the division you are registering for in the "Comments" section when you are entering your player's data.
5. I want to be a good NABCLL member and register online, however I don't want to send my credit card info across the internet. Can I avoid that and still register online?
Unfortunately, no, the system requires the credit card for verification. We're working to change this but it isn't possible yet. However, the SportsPilot system uses Verisign for state-of-the-art security, the same security used by the likes of Amazon.com. If you still are uncomfortable, then please print the form on the left of this page and mail it in ahead of time if possible, worst case bring it with you to evals. But we really would like you to consider sparing us the processing time and cost for dealing with paper registrations - thanks!
6. I moved away or my kids are no longer playing baseball. How do I get myself off this email list????
Sorry about this.... the system has some limitations and it's very labor-intensive to delete individual email addresses from the master list from 2009, which is what we have been using for these reminders. Please bear with us, and remember that we are a volunteer organization and there is only so much time available to spend on league duties. If we do need to the mailing list again, we will endeavour to remove those names that we have received deletion requests from. Thank you for your patience. |
