NABCLL ANNOUNCES THE 2010 COACHING CLINIC SERIES

All managers and coaches will be required to participate in at least one training session this year.  The first training session schedule is as follows:

Saturday april 10th at NAMS (on the softball diamond, close to the back of the school):

Big Diamond 7:45AM to 9AM - conducted by Dave Brown & Jeff Buxton

Little League (8-12) 9AM to 10:30AM - conducted by Dave Brown

Interactive sessions - bring your glove and sneakers (in case it's wet and we need to use the parking lot) and cleats if it's nice - these sessions will take you through an actual practice, with the emphasis on how to run an interesting, fun, effective practice.  Keep the kids moving!

Sunday April 11th, 4PM to 5:30PM at NAMS (on the softball diamond)

Instructional & TBall - conducted by Cliff Bourie and Dave Brown

Monday April 26th:  SPECIAL SKILLS CLINIC SERIES for coaches of ages 8-18 WITH THE NAHS BASEBALL COACHING STAFF

This will be held at the High School Field House (gym) from 8 to 10PM.  Bring your glove and sneakers, it will be interactive.  These clinics are being conducted by our High School Coach (Todd Dulin) and his staff.  Emphasis will be on techniques to properly teach skills - throwing, catching, relays, bunting, hitting, baserunning, pitching, how to hold runners on, how to take leads, etc.

How to pitch in Coach-pitch

The article here provides some guidance on how to pitch most effectively in coach-pitch. Try it -- you'll like it ! Even if your name isn't Mikey.

In a nutshell: pitch from one knee from about 30 feet, slightly towards 1b.
